Lucy was our first dog. She was rescued from the street in Nashua as a tiny pup. We believe she was a german shepherd / pit bull mix. She weighed in around 55 pounds and was an extremely powerful dog. She naturally took up sentry and protection duty around the house and became an amazing watch dog. Unfortunately Lucy was also very sick. She had a condition called Megaesophagus which created serious problems with her being able to eat and drink. She was constantly getting medicines, treatments, subcutaneous fluids, etc. After 19 months, we had to put Lucy down because she could no longer eat. She was a fighter and not a single vet ever thought she was sick until you saw the pictures of her insides. I miss her bunches.
