51/365: Pop up Sheltie
Orent got to play with his new buddies Luke and Scarlet yesterday. I was taking this lovely photo of Luke and Orent when Scarlet just popped up! Apparently she wanted to know what I was doing. It's not techinically the best photo ever, but it makes me laugh every time I see it. So it's the photo of the day.
See more Orent photos from yesterday here.
This time last year, I was admiring the fruit.

This garden is an L-shaped perennial garden that is between my 1824 historic brick farm house and my horse pasture and pond on 215 acres on the upper Eastern Shore of Maryland. My husband built me a pergola which supports a lovely wisteria vine in the middle of the garden. It provides shaded seating for coffee each morning, cocktails each evening and a fire pit for making s'mores with our three children each night! The perennials I grow are hot pink, yellow, blue and white and purple (no orange or red!) because I like the look of the English cottage garden. I maintain the garden myself as it is a passion of mine! It attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and sometimes even our chocolate lab puppy as you will see in one of the photos. It is the perfect place to spend a peaceful summer afternoon reading a book or just observing nature!!!

179/365: Taking after each other
The day after Christmas, my dad, sister, Max, Orent and I took a walk around Tremont in Cleveland. Max and Orent posed for a photo on the big bike. Who knew they'd adopted the same mannerisms in their short six months together!
This time last year, I was balancing marshmallows.
