The small size Snuggie is about the right size for Miniature Dachshunds. This fit really nice on Odie even though he is a little larger than most minis. The picture on the Snuggie box may be a little misleading since this Doxie is either a puppy, young adult or a runt.

I was digging through some pictures from this year, and found these ones of my brother's puppies.

This is Kallie, she has one eye that didn't fully develop and the other one doesn't see too well. She still gets around fairly well and is the most lovable of my brother's zoo.

Alfie in the garden. Alfie is a 12 week old Dachshund puppy and in this picture he resembles a lion hunting on the plains as he wades through the long grass! Or maybe he's a Doxie puppy playing in the garden?

This year I'm participating in Project 365, where I will take a photo a day in 2011, in order to document my year, tell stories through my photography, and improve my photography skills.

Today's photo is of our new puppy, Lady Doughnut Longswurth Waggerstrøm, Marquess of Dachsbroke, also known as Donut. She is a 9 week old, red, short-haired miniature dachsund from Modesto who just joined us in San Francisco on Thursday. She likes to sleep, wag her tail, wake us up in the middle of the night, and poop. I'm sure she'll be making numerous appearances through this Project 365! You can also follow her antics at @DonutTheDoxie.

Photo setup:
-On a tripod
-Lit using incandescent lightbulbs
-Cropped and resized using Picasa
-No other post processing
